On June 15, 2026, PID4NFDI organized an online workshop (10:00–12:00 CEST) to teach participants how to actively interrogate, assess, and act on DOI metadata at scale using the DataCite API. The workshop complemented a poster presentation at the 2026 HMC Conference.

This post introduces DataCite’s linked data namespace and explains, in beginner-friendly terms, how stable identifiers, machine-readable vocabularies, and explicit relationships make metadata easier to understand, connect, and reuse across systems.
